During high school, Ștefan Dolteanu represented Romania at the world’s most prestigious international physics competitions, earning more than 10 medals and distinctions — including two Silver Medals at the International Physics Olympiad (2018 and 2019) and the „Best in Experiment” Special Award at the 2019 European Physics Olympiad, given for the highest score in the experimental section of the competition.

After graduating, he joined a research team and co-authored the paper „Disentangling the Pair and Quartet Condensates,” published in the international physics journal Physical Review C. He then answered a calling to teaching, spending a year as a physics teacher at the International Computer High School of Bucharest, where he mentored the Olympiad groups and privately tutored more than 25 students — for olympiads, exams, and building a stronger grasp of their coursework.

In 2021, while a full-scholarship student at Duke University, he joined the Upper.School community for a few months, sharing his passion for physics and the joy of watching a student reach a deep understanding of the material after only a few sessions. His active collaboration with Upper.School ended in 2021, but the lessons he recorded remain available in the platform’s digital library.
